Mesmers are the trademark class of the Guild Wars series and are one of the most unique, subtle and deadly classes in any game. Specializing in manipulating foes and countering their opponents strategies, a good mesmer will generate more hate in PvP chat than all other classes combined. Posted November 6, 2018. I think pretty much any class aside from the mesmer is good for a beginning player. This game is not really hard in terms of the beginning content. You will be able to go through most of the PvE content with ANY build on ANY class, with different levels of comfort. A class based around channeling and communicating with Legendary figures like the Revenant is exceptionally Norn-y indeed. In a way, the Revenant could be seen as a Shaman/Skaldic figure. I hit level 80 on August 11 playing solo mostly. I hesitate to advise on a profession but would suggest some type of pet class for the first bit as pets take some heat off you. Each boss gives out substantial rewards that can be traded or sold at merchants. It's also a good alternative for when you get tired of running meta events. ACjB.
