Nothing worse for the reliability of your TDI than a cracked oilpan!!! Cheapest mods I can think of: - Search for Evry mod (minimal cost for a resistor from your local Radio Shack) - Search for Snow Screen (cut the snow screen from your intake snorkel) - Search for mufflerectomy (cut the muffler off and replace with a piece of straight pipe
Ce diferenta este intre aceste motoare in afara de cp si de capacitate?Si au curele de distributie ca la motoru 1.9 TDI(101cp sau 130cp)Va multumesc!
A 1.5 liter Saab V4 is 242 lbs including the clutch, oil pan, waterpump, valve covers and air filter. A Suzuki/Geo three cylinder is 145 lbs similarly completed. Diesels don't make for particularly competitive AX cars. The narrow power band limits the time of acceleration before the necessity of shifting.

Engine size/power: 1.4 16V Petrol (74bhp) Location: Bristol. Re: 2.0tdi any better than 1.6tdi. by pevril » Thu Aug 27, 2015 4:12 pm. I've got a 2.0 BMM (Bosch injectors) and have done 58k in it (milage now 157k I think), no real issues apart from a MAF sensor and turbo pipe.
I picked the TDI because, if you drive right, you can get 50mpg in the CITY. Add some mods to a TDI and it can be a monster, and still get great gas milage. Adding mods to a 2.0 for substancial power (forced induction) will only make things worse. Now im not saying i know all the costs of owning a TDI, but i think they are the better car.
As the title I have a 1.9tdi, just wondering are there any benefits of having one over the 2.0? heres some performance figures, as you can see the 2.0 tdi 140 is ALOT quicker than the 1.9, and theres not much difference between taxing costs and insurance costs as far as i am aware, my 1.9 = insurance group 10 (shocking) and the 140 is 11 i am sure of
Golf MK7 2.0 TDI. Feb 28, 2022. #1. Afternoon all, Just picked up a 2.0 TDI MK7. Looking to get it remapped in a few months and trying to find the best option, I’ve got my normal garage offering a Pendle remap for 415, I believe they only do stage 1. 1.6 vs 1.9. « Reply #2 on: September 12, 2005, 11:51:55 am ». more displacement is more power potential.. i dont want to go into specifics, but long story short i blew my old engine, and was looking at two options: 1.6L TD, or 1.9L TD. i chose the 1.6L TD because it is far more readily available, cheaper, parts are easier to find, and the
I always liked the VR6. I also think the 5-cylinder 2.5L is a good engine. I wonder if the 5cyl 2.5L might even be a little more efficient than the VR6 - It has 1 less cylinder and is a little smaller (2.5L, compared to 2.8L or 2.9L with the VR6) but produces almost as much horsepower & torque as the VR6 (if I recall).
